Grew up in northeast Indiana, one foot in the country and one foot in town. First picked up a guitar at some point between the big bands and the Beatles. AM radio beaming in the sounds of Buddy Holly, the Everly Brothers, and the Saturday night Grand Ole Opry show. Ricky Nelson and Hootenanny on the TV, duck-and-cover air raid drills in the schools. All this will be songs one day, though I didn't know it at the time..
